The 33rd annual Vancouver International Film Festival (VIFF) will once again bring some of the finest British Columbia-produced films to Vancouver screens this fall. The 13 features confirmed for the BC Spotlight include the newest work from celebrated filmmakers Vic Sarin and Julia Kwan (both past VIFF award winners), as well as features from emerging artists like Soran Mardookhi and Jason Bourque. Vancouver actress Sonja Bennett (a favourite of VIFF audiences) makes her screenwriting debut with Preggoland, while Ana Valine (Best Director, Leo Awards 2014) and Grant Baldwin (Emerging Artist Award, Hot Docs 2014) have already earned accolades elsewhere for their efforts.
