Saturday, February 7th – BC Filmmaker Francois Laliberte previews his heartwarming film Touching Life at Vancity Theatre at 1pm. Coinciding with the last day of White Cane Week, local documentary Touching Life relates the inspiring story of a visually impaired Vancouver couple raising their seven year old son. In this ode to happiness, where life is felt rather than seen, we follow Yuko and Thilo as they pursue their dream: to overcome their disability, fall in love and reach their ultimate goal of becoming parents. Because their son Kurtis can see, he becomes the link between the worlds of shadow and of light. He lends them his sight while his parents help him see his path toward adulthood.
There will be a post-screening Q&A with Filmmaker, Francois Laliberte and Guests.
