Today marks Day Two of Rupture to VIFF, the second annual showcase of innovative, genre-bending cinema. Following last night’s opening exclusive sneak preview of Jim Jarmusch’s star-studded zombie comedy The Dead Don’t Die, we continue our rollout of events that exhibit a diverse collection of hybrid films. From Riley Stearns’ satirical take on hyper-masculinity The Art of Self-Defense, to VIFF favourite Peter Strickland’s vivid homage to European horror In Fabric, this year’s showcase is guaranteed to defy expectations.
