Special Guest Appearances All Week Long for CANADIAN FILM WEEK at Vancity Theatre

Mark your calendars, Canadian Film Fans. From April 15 – 21, Vancity Theatre will be celebrating Canadian Film Week with an array of fantastic Canadian films old and new!

And on Canadian Film Day itself (April 20th), we’ll be kicking it up a notch with ALL DAY SCREENINGS at $5 per film until 5pm, followed by the North American Premiere Screening of PEOPLE GARDEN at 7:30pm that evening with Actress-turned-Director Nadia Litz here to present her film.

For all you major fan boys and girls out there, here’s an At-a-Glance look at all the Special Guest appearances by Filmmakers and Cast Members during the week:


Actress turned Director Nadia Litz will be here to present the North American Premiere of her film People Garden on April 20 for Canadian Film Day.






Douglas Bevans from the Alberta band The Smalls will be here for the April 15 & 18 screenings of The Smalls: Forever Is Still a Long Time



Filmmaker Sean Patrick Shaul will be here CdnFilmWk_SilentLegendMackSennetton April 16 to present his film’s Canadian Premiere Silent Legend: The Mack SennettStory







Filmmaker Mark Sawers and cast members Kristine Cofsky, Tara Pratt, Cameron McDonald, and Ken Kramer will all be here for the opening night Q & A of No Men Beyond This Point on April 15






Filmmaker Melanie M. Jones will be here for the April 16 screening of her film FSM.







Filmmaker Jonathan Culp will be here for the April 16 and 20th screenings of his film Taking Shelter.






Filmmaker Daniel Janke will be here on April 17 and musicians Jesse Zubot and Peggy Lee, and cast Dave Haddock and Sarah Moore will be here for the April 17 or 20th (tbc) screenings of Grubstake Remix. 





Filmmaker O. Corbin Saleken will be here on April 16 for the screening of his film Patterson’s Wager.
