We love award season at VIFF and yesterday was one of the most anticipated days of the year for film fanatics – the Academy Awards nomination announcement. Through a very early (5 a.m. PST) live web stream event, nominees were announced in 24 categories.
We’re thrilled to see VIFF favourites Manchester by the Sea, Moonlight, Elle, Fire at Sea, A Man Called Ove, The Red Turtle, Toni Erdmann, The Salesman, and animated short Blind Vaysha among the list of nominees for the 2017 awards.
